Hi everyone! My name is Emily Daugherty and I am so excited to be coaching at CrossFit Brigade. My husband Ramsey and I moved to Chattanooga this Summer (’23). I am from Johnson City, TN, where I lived most of my life with the exception of my college years. I attended Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA where I was on the Varsity Swimming team for three years until I injured my knee. I was then recruited to join the Women’s Varsity Rowing team where I competed in the Varsity 8 boat my senior season.

In graduate school, I realized how much I missed the comradery and accountability that existed in the team sports in which I had grown accustomed to participating.Β  This is when I found CrossFit! I started competing in local competitions in 2015 and made drastic improvements in my skill level over the next few years. I was hooked! IΒ  was blessed to reach a level of fitness that allowed me to compete as an individual at the Mid Atlantic Crossfit Competition in 2019.Β  That same year I completed my longest open water swimming race, “The Swim Around Key West”, a 13 mile circumnavigation of the island of Key West, FL.Β

I guess you could say I have a passion for fitness!

Ramsey and I are thrilled to be at Brigade. I am excited to be a part of this community! I am also happy to add that I will be offering nutrition services through Healthy Steps Nutrition as a part of my contribution to the community.
