Brigade focuses on the FUN in FUNctional Fitness and group training is where it’s at! Each 60-minute class is instructor led from start to finish with teaching and cueing throughout warmup, skills training, wod time (our high intensity piece) and cooldown. Our staff is adept at tailoring options appropriate for each individual and providing an optimal stimulus to help you reach your goals. The caring coaches and team vibe will instinctively push you to be your very best and having fun while we train is a key ingredient so expect plenty of smiles, laughs & high fives along the way. Whether you are a recent graduate of Foundations or an advanced athlete, this class is for you!
BODY BY BRIGADE
Whether you are a total newbie or a fitness enthusiast looking to mix things up, BODY by BRIGADE has it all. This program is our introduction to life-changing fitness. Begin your journey with a program orientation, goal setting session, and body composition measurements. Next, we provide you with a comprehensive nutrition program customized to your specific needs. Finally, we set you up with 3 to 4 semi-private sessions each week. We perform an overall assessment, teach you new skills and proper mechanics, lead you through beginner-friendly workouts, and introduce the concepts and strategies that we use to get incredible results. Safety is our top priority and our coaches partner with you to ensure that you can feel confident and smash your goals. Stay on track with weekly coach check-ins and a mid-point one-on-one. At CrossFit Brigade we are all about fun but any CrossFit box in the Central East Region knows that we have serious competitive side. We’ve sent competitors to the CrossFit Games’ Regionals in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016. The “Sport of Fitness” is changing a little with the loss of Regionals and the addition of Sanctioned Qualifiers and we are ready to adapt. Our Special Ops programming is designed to be layered on top of our existing programming. This means that participants in Special Ops attend our CrossFit sessions and do the WODs with everyone else then utilize “open gym” time and Special Ops group training sessions to tackle the extra work.
This program is designed to help athletes prepare for the sport of CrossFit, as well as prepare them to be as adept and well-rounded as possible to excel in unknown elements of our growing sport. If you are interested in developing as a CrossFit athlete, have been CrossFitting for at least 6 months, and are willing to make a commitment to longer training sessions with more advanced movements – this is the specialty course for you!
Be aware – Special Ops isn’t for everyone – it requires a pre-screening before participating as it is considered a high level class with certain requirements and time commitments. Members seeking to add Olympic Lifting technique sessions to their CrossFit program are encouraged to check out Brigade Made and the Brigade Barbell Club. These programs offer time to work purely on the barbell in a small group setting with a coach.
We understand that group classes aren’t for everyone. Some benefit more in a one-on-one atmosphere or have very specific objectives or goals better suited for a more individualized plan. Our coaches offer one-on-one and small group sessions to complement any program.
